BACK TO SCHOOL ISSUE - WELCOME TO THE CLASS OF 2021!

                                              Nitzan Lasry, Indiana University

Nitzan is a women’s volleyball player from Tel Mond in Israel.  She had the fortune to play for the Israel National Women’s Volleyball team and the legendary coach Arie Selinger in the past couple of years.  She plays the setter position, joining Rutgers sophomore Galia Nankin as the second Israeli women’s volleyball player in the tough Big 10 league.

Check out Indiana University's announcement of Nitzan's signing at this link.

Daniel Cukierman – University of Southern California

Daniel is a dedicated and modest tennis player who made a breakthrough in last year’s Israeli Men’s Tennis Championships, reaching the final round.  After reaching the world ranking of 525, he was recruited by many of the top tennis schools in the US and finally chose to attend USC.

                                                    Zohar Shikler, University of Arizona

After competing for Israel in the 50m Free in the 2016 Olympics, Zohar decided to continue her swimming career in college.  She is an Israeli women’s record-holder in both the 200m and 400m relays, and will follow fellow Israeli Olympian swimmer Nimrod Shapira Bar-Or to the University of Arizona.

Gilron Tsabkevich (pictured at right), Princeton University

Gilron is the current Israeli champion in the long jump, and won the gold medal in this event this summer at the Maccabiah Games (shown above).  He is also a brilliant student, managing to get one of the highest scores by any Israeli athlete on the SAT and TOEFL tests which helped him get into Princeton.  Gilron's announcement on the Princeton University athletics site is at this link.
